Friday Favorites: PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter

I discovered PB2 Powdered Peanut Butter by Bell Plantation in the grocery store and was intrigued.  I drink a green smoothie every morning for breakfast, and I enjoy trying new flavor combinations to keep my taste buds happy.  I tried to create a banana and peanut butter smoothie once before, and the  traditional peanut butter was difficult to get into the blender and even more challenging to clean.  The PB2 powder makes this a breeze!  I add a tablespoon or two into my blender cup full of spinach, carrots, cucumber, banana and water or almond milk.  The resulting smoothie has a rich and true banana and peanut butter flavor, without any extra mess.  While I haven't tried to add water to the powder to create a spreadable peanut butter for sandwiches, I have added the powder to oil to make a peanut flavored salad dressing.  I also want to try adding the powder into a pad Thai recipe in lieu of peanut oil, which I rarely have on hand.   There is also a chocolate flavored peanut butter powder that I'd like to try.  I definitely recommend PB2, especially if you are a smoothie person.
