I have been busy working on my Project: Brighten Bedroom, and wanted to share a sneak peak with you. I did some shopping over the holiday weekend, and am pleased to say I found some items for the room. I had been planning to switch out my dark grey duvet with a white one, but that wasn't really working for me. Instead, I'm opting for a lighter grey duvet with a seersucker texture with a white quilt layered over it, also with a textured design for some added depth. Both duvet set and quilt are from Target's Threshold design and purchased with the Cartwheel discount. Are you guys using Target's Cartwheel app? You just download the app to your phone, load coupons into the app, and then present them to the cashier when you check out. You can even use these coupons in conjunction with any sales or Target text coupons! This beautiful quilt was originally $69.99, but after the sale, 15% off Cartwheel coupon AND a $10.00 off Target text coupon, it was less about $45.00. The duvet set was a clearance item, and half off. It seems like Emmie approves of them!
Next, I am working on a gallery wall to hang over my dresser using all white frames. I'm saving that for the big reveal, but check out this little update. I had my Elizabeth Mayville top knot print in an over-sized frame that I really like, but it's black. I took a chance and spray painted the frame white, and am happy with the way it turned out. I think the all white matting and frame looks much brighter against the grey paint.
Finally, I added a cute new plate to the plate wall over my bed. How darling is this Bonjour Paris plate from HomeGoods?! And it was only $5.00! I can't resist a cute Eiffel Tower plate. I hope you enjoyed your sneak peek at my bedroom. More to come soon!
