The Handmade Nest Craft Night

This weekend, I attended my first blogger event, The Handmade Nest Craft Night.  Last Monday I shared with you all that I was a bit nervous about the event, not sure I was ready to go out into the world and call myself a blogger.  This craft night was a great way to dip my foot in the pool and take that first step!

The Handmade Nest Blogger Craft Night

The Craft Night was just that, a casual and informal gathering of bloggers and their friends working on cool DIY projects.  I worked on a burlap garland, adorned with map and scrapbook papers.  I will share my finished project with you all later, when I hang it at a special travel themed tea party!  We listened to music, chatted and indulged in some amazing treats by the amazing Inspired Sugar located in Gilbert, AZ.   Isn't this cake bar gorgeous?

There were also a ton of amazing raffles prizes given away during the evening.  I was the lucky winner of a prize pack from Sew Dew It, which included a chevron steering wheel cover and a lovely roll of twine.  Lucky me!!

It was a fun night out and definitely gave me the confidence to spread my wings and get out there in the community.   I have even signed up for a blogger conference later this month!  I'll share more details on that later.  Thank you to everyone that gave me the encouragement to try something new and different this week!

    1. I have a few themed tea ideas 'brewing' as we speak, and the travel one may be down the road. But it will definitely happen!

    1. Sadly, I didn't make the cake. But I have been hatching a plan to get a boxed pumpkin cake and just add some chocolate chips into the mix! Top it with cream cheese frosting and it may be as good as this one. :)
