Happy Holidays, friends! Sorry for the belated felicitations, but the holidays just crept up on me this year. I was fortunate to spend a few days up in Northern Arizona. We didn't get snow this year, but it was so nice to be with family and breathe the fresh forest air. I hope you enjoy these photos from my Christmas at my family's cabin in Payson!
As much as the people enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors, it didn't compare to how much our dogs loved their vacation! Emmie tends to be a bit prissy, but take her to the woods and she is more than happy to get down and dirty with her sister Mazzy. Emmie also loves 'hunting' the forest creatures. We can't pull her away from the window, where she watches the birds, squirrels and elk outside.
Speaking of elk, we had one brave animal come right up to the cabin. I think he wanted to take a
ride in the Mini! Emmie really loved watching him from her perch on the back of the couch.
I must have been on the nice list this year, because Santa brought me a new Canon DSLR camera! I am really excited to learn to use the camera this year. I couldn't resist pulling it out and taking some photos while I was in such a pretty place. Actually, all the photos in this post were done with the Canon. I think I got a few cool photos just playing around. I especially love the macro shots of the berries and beverage below. What do you think?
As much as I'd have loved a White Christmas, you can't help but love a crisp winter day with the sun shining through the trees. It really was a lovely Christmas day!
I'm back home now, enjoying a few days off from work. Emmie and I hope you all had the same peaceful and happy holiday we had in Payson!! Season's Greetings!
