Breakfast for Tea: A Holiday Tea Party

Breakfast for Tea: A Holiday Tea Party

Before we get too far into 2014, I thought I better post some photos from our holiday tea party!  For this year's party, I came up the theme of Breakfast for Tea.  The party was like a girl's brunch, with mimosas, breakfast foods and we even wore our pajamas!  It was a good thing we were all in comfy pants, because we sure had a ton of good food and tea.

We started the event with mimosas before we moved on to eating brunch.  We enjoyed mini quiches, potato and sausage skillet and, my favorite, a build-it-yourself mini crepe bar. The food was delicious and we had fun catching up.  We put on a pot of Kusmi tea before moving on to the next part of the event, our holiday treat exchange!

Traditionally, we have a Christmas cookie exchange.  This year, we tried something new and exchanged mini loaves of bread.  We each brought one extra loaf to sample before the exchange.  The girls outdid themselves.  We had the most delicious cranberry orange, chocolate chip banana, cinnamon swirl, chocolate Kahlua and vanilla chai bread.  I put my loaves in the freezer so I can enjoy them throughout the winter with tea.  We also got a little silly and did a little Christmas tree photo shoot.  Breakfast for Tea (and wearing pj's in the middle of the day) was a blast!

  1. It certainly was a good time! I sure wouldn't mind doing that again in the future, especially the PJ's part.

  2. We do come up with some great themes for our tea parties, don't we? Kristen had the fun idea of taking pics of our holiday socks and slippers in front of the Christmas tree. How do we top this one?

    1. A tea party in the woods would top it! Let us know when the cabin is ready for the 'traveling teacups'!!

  3. Your theme of holiday tea party is really good. Liked your preparations specially exchange of bread loaves instead of cookies exchange. Couple of days ago, threw a holiday party at one of LA venue. There had slightly similar tea pot and was liked by everyone.
